GETTING MARRIED IN THE CATHOLIC CHURCH

Those who are intending to get married in the Catholic Church will have to attend the Catholic Marriage Preparation Course (CMPC). Given that the pandemic lockdowns have disrupted the marriage plans of many, please note that in this recovery phase there have been many requests for marriage in the Church. There are limited places for the CMPC and therefore all couples intending to get married in Church are requested to plan ahead to attend the CMPC (subject to availability) and not wait for the last minute to request to participate in this programme which is compulsory.

PUBLIC MASSES & OTHER SACRAMENTS

All public Masses within the Archdiocese of Kuala Lumpur will remain suspended. Although we recognise the spiritual benefit of the sacraments in the lives of the faithful, this suspension is made pursuant to the common good as the risk of infection in any public gathering remains exceedingly high due to the transmissibility of new variants and large number of asymptomatic cases despite vaccinations. This suspension will be reviewed periodically. To view the ‘Guidelines for Celebrating Sacraments’ go to: https://covid19.ArchKL.org
